Now the story all started at Hampshire College in Massachusetts where students lowered the American Flag on campus because of the way certain people acted during and after the election when it came to people of "minority" backgrounds in this country. In response to students eventually burning the flag, college president, Jonathan Lash decided to take down the flag altogether to start a dialogue about what was going on in the country. Now I want to clear something up, I like the flag, I am not for burning the flag, taking down the flag when it isn't supposed to be taken down, and I don't know what the laws are in that state when it comes to dealings with the flag. However, Bill O'Reilly was outraged by pretty obvious freedom of speech so he decided to bring the king douchebag himself to Massachusetts in order to "ambush" Jonathan Lash at his residence. Now part of this response this response will be about the encounter and the other part will be the conversation between O'Reilly and Watters. Here we go, wish me luck!
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=AdafHVjV_XQ
Setting: Jonathan Lash is in his garage, getting out of his car and Watters and his camera crew is in the garage and Watters has his microphone up to Lash's mouth.
Watters: Hey President Lash, how are you? Jesse Watters with the FOX News channel... Good to see you.
A very cordial beginning, will it last? I highly doubt it!
Lash: Not good to see you.
Most people are likely to say this when they stare king douche in the face.
Watters: Now that I have you here, why did you remove the American flag from campus?
A great way to open an interview, where did Jesse Watters get his degree?
Lash: ***closes door to his car and opens his house door*** Nice to meet you...
This would be the last of the kind words that I would have for Mr. Watters.
Watters: Don't you realize the whole country is laughing at you right now? ***rudely sticks his foot in the door***
I actually thought that the journalistic integrity of Mr. Watters is more laughable than anyone taking down the American flag.
Lash: Come on, get your foot out of my door... ***tries to close the door***
This is the moment where I would have taken my gun and blown Jesse's head square off his shoulders on national television, then see how Bill O'Reilly feels about breaking and entering.
Watters: ***still with foot in the door*** President Lash, why did you remove the flag?
Lash: I don't want to talk to you about it.
Watters: Don't you think you owe it to the veterans to explain it?
He just said he doesn't want to talk to you, you deaf prick.
Lash: No I don't want to talk to you about it... Would you please remove your foot from my door?
Watters: You made a lot of people very upset, you think you owe the country an explanation?
Who cares?
Lash: You're giving speeches...
And that was where the interview cuts off. Let me just say that Jesse Watters is a mighty brave person for going to another person's residence with no permission and putting his foot in the door. Because if it were me, I am either A. Calling the cops for attempting to break and enter or B. Finding the nearest household weapon to threaten this man and his camera crew to get off of my property. Let me let this be known, Jesse Watters, Billy O'Reilly and FOX News did not notify President Lash before coming to his house to ask permission for an interview. I could understand ambushing this man on the street, at the store, or even on University property. However, Watters decides to go straight into the man's garage and puts his foot in the man's door to try to "ambush" him.
On a personal matter, I think that Lash handled this in quite a calm manner. I am sure if this individual was more violent and had firearms in his residence, there is no telling what could have happened. Thanks to Bill O'Reilly's idiocy, he put Watters and a camera crew in danger, likely without even thinking. At this point, I don't really care what the man's opinion is when it comes to taking down the flag, you don't go to a man's house, step foot inside his door, and "ambush" him like that. When someone says "I don't want to talk to you right now", that is code in the English language to F*ck Off! Obviously Jesse Watters was absent from school when they taught that or he just wants to create theater and drama.
Of course Bill O'Reilly wanted to conclude the segment by talking to Watters about what happened. I was hoping that O'Reilly would scold Watters for what he did, but lets see how O'Reilly felt:
O'Reilly: I thought you handled that well, with the guy, its the same old stuff, these guys are cowards, he's a coward, if he had the courage of his convictions, he'd stand in with you and say "this is why I did it" and he would allow you to ask him questions like a journalist would in a polite way, you were polite to him. So uh, he is a villain and a coward, but this is historically, I think Amherst, Massachusetts is one of the most far left place in the country, even worst than Oakland.
What was I thinking? Let me break this drivel down for everyone. Bill, Jesse did NOT handle this well. He went into his garage, unannounced and completely uninvited. He thought that he could invite himself into the man's house when the man told him that he didn't want to talk and made it clear that he could NOT come in and he continued to attempt to interview him anyways. Jesse Watters is not a journalist, he is no different than the paparazzi on TMZ that follows celebrities around, takes exposing pictures of them, and skews the truths. You know those tabloids that you read at the grocery store? That is the type of journalistic integrity that Watters has. I would never allow Watters to interview me and if I did, I would just sit back and troll the guy to pieces, because that is what he deserves. And no, Watters was not being polite, polite people do not do what Watters did. A raging douchebag? Yes! A polite person, hell to the no.
Now I find it funny that O'Reilly applauded his stooge, Watters, and said that he handled this "well". The reason why I say this is because Bill O'Reilly is no stranger to being ambushed at his residence. A few years ago, a liberal blogger showed up at Bill O'Reilly's house to try to talk to him and O'Reilly almost called the cops. And then the next night he called out the blogger and called him "unprofessional" for showing up to his private property. So lets just call a spade a spade and say that Bill is a hypocrite like we all knew. So yes Bill, it is unprofessional to come to someone's property unannounced in order to intimidate someone into talking to you by sticking your foot in their door despite them telling you to stop multiple times. So thank you Mr. O'Reilly for proving that you are just as much of a coward as Mr. Lash is because, you were too scared to get interviewed by someone who was doing something illegal. Here is the thing, I felt bad for you when this happened to you, but now I don't, because you actually applaud it when it happens to people you disagree with.
Watters: It is extremely far left, they are a sanctuary city, the council there attempted to impeach President George W. Bush and then again, they flew a UN flag and at Hampshire College, you can pick your own major. People major in ultimate frisbee, in basket weaving, there are no grades...
I am not going to comment on the whole sanctuary city or being far left as I also don't have a problem with being far right, so that is irrelevant. If they wanted to impeach George W. Bush, I mean, I don't agree, they have an opinion, he wasn't impeached, so they didn't get their wish. What is hilarious is the fact that Jesse doesn't know how college works. Yes, you can pick your own major. That is what I did, that is what most people do. What do you think? The college picks your major? Your parents pick your major? The creepy guy next door picks your major? It makes sense that Watters currently does something that he likely didn't study in college. And do dis-spell all rumors or lies from Jesse Watters, no, you cannot have your major be ultimate frisbee or basket weaving. Hampshire College is a liberal arts college, but neither of those majors are on the list of "Areas of Study" on the school website, so that is probably the biggest lie told by the biggest douchebag on the planet. Also, nowhere on the "courses offered" does it say anything about basket weaving or ultimate frisbee classes. I have no idea where Watters got this information, but he likely made it up because FOX News viewers are completely ignorant.
One truth that Watters did tell was that there are no grades at Hampshire College. According to Hampshire College, they use "inquiry based, discussing rich and written intensive learning". Now, this is not an old aged way of of educating college students. Yes, there are no grades and I do not 100% agree with this, but they do feel like giving feedback and allowing students to redo assignments in order for them to get things right. I would have liked to have had something like that in school, but when you are dealing with a lot of students, it is sometimes important to separate them into those students who have done well and those who have not. Again, it does eliminate competition, which is sometimes good, but if there is no competition, then you will not see students go above and beyond. At least that is something that I have heard. I don't agree with their policy, but if they get results, then they might feel like they are doing something right. So again, Watters could have elaborated, but because he is talking to ultra conservatives and likely uninformed viewers, then he just comes off with a one liner.
O'Reilly: So they don't have any grades at Hampshire College?
He just said that you deaf idiot!
Watters: They have no grades and you can pick your own major...
Again, that is what you do in college, you moron!
O'Reilly: Well, their college is done, and it is a laughing stock. We are laughing at them, anyone can go to their college now, it is like Kindergarten. You know, heres some blocks, go play!
Bill, if their college is done because they have no grades, their students can pick their own majors (which any student at any college can do), and has lowered the American Flag amongst turmoil at the college, then you, your show, and Jesse Watters are even funnier jokes. Not only did you put your douchey reporter in harm's way by having him ambush a guy on his private property, but the guy basically broke, entered, and tried to intimidate a man into an interview. Not to mention, that same, douchey, reporter came onto your show and told half truths on your joke of a show.
But lets be serious here Bill, the college has a 67% acceptance rate, EVERYONE cannot go to their college. Again, they can pick their own major from around thirty or so total majors. It takes a mere Google search to figure that out, but because you live in the stone age, you probably were too lazy to do that. You cannot take basket weaving or ultimate frisbee classes, but again, this was a lie told by someone who I wouldn't even trust to look after my household pet. Bill, where did you learn your journalistic integrity? Because, it likely wasn't at whatever University or College that you went to as a young lad. According to your Wikipedia page, you attended Marist College, Boston University, and Harvard University. I wonder how they would feel about your journalistic integrity and the way your underlings conduct interviews, I don't think they would be extremely unhappy with you and they might tell you to go back to, might I say? Kindergarten... I rest my case.
